Howdy, Everyone!

Monday, January 29th, we shut down early and closed all day Tuesday and headed to the historic and newly renovated St Anthony Hotel in downtown San Antonio for our annual staff appreciation event.  And what a great event it was!

The St Anthony was magnificent, and the evening was magical.  I remember being impressed in 2017 that we rented 50 suites at the Hotel Contessa with close to 100 guests.  Well, this year it was close to 100 suites with over 175 folks in attendance.  The food was great, and the wine was outstanding, with my favorite being a Lewis Cellars Napa Cabernet.

Over the years, Kathy and I have watched Brian and Jennifer methodically turn Grape Creek Vineyards from a small 2500 case-per-year winery into the empire that is now Heath Family Brands with an annual production of around 100,000 cases spanning five different labels.  Their business success is undeniable.

Right now, however, it’s not about our incredible success as a company as much as it is about the love and compassion Brian and Jennifer show the entire staff on a daily basis.  As corny as it sounds, we really are one giant family, and Brian and Jenn stand proudly beside us in our personal successes, failures, and tragedies.

So, I feel confident I can speak for all of us in offering a very heartfelt thank you to you both for the extremely generous opportunities you have afforded us.  We are all very proud to follow your lead…
